Any tips/pointers on changing brake pads on my l322?

hmmm... just opened up the box with the Delphi pads in, they don't seem to have the wear sensors in. Will have a look on the net. Also what is the consensus on the caliper bolts, shall I get some of these when ordering the sensors?

Any tips/pointers on changing brake pads on my l322?

Cheers guys! :) Guess I won't be doing it today then, as I was under the impression that the wear sensors could be reused. As mine is an 02, I don't think there is the complication of electronic handbrake.

Any tips/pointers on changing brake pads on my l322?

Thanks for that Bix, was thinking of using a g clamp to push the piston back. My mate had a quick at the discs, which are fine at the moment. I've for a full set of delphi pads and plenty of copper grease so good to go.

Any tips/pointers on changing brake pads on my l322?

Evening all, never needed to change the pads on a car so far. But the RR has flashed up check brake pads last week, so planning to change them tomorrow. Couldn't seem to find a how to, but could be wrong/not looking in the right place?! Any pointers or is it an easy job? I am presuming the re...

    Leggy TDV8 or a TD6?

under-stressed I suppose, they used that 4.2 six cylinder for twenty odd years just keep modding it. They are really over priced though. They can be as much as double the cost of a similar vintage Range Rover.

    Leggy TDV8 or a TD6?

its only something like 202 hp so it gets about 24 mpg. One hell of a thing to navigate around though! The engine itself is meant to be bullet proof.

    Leggy TDV8 or a TD6?

Toyota's aren't without their problems though. So far my uncle's 4.2 TD Amazon has eaten a gearbox, corroded most of its own electrics through poorly cited water drains. Only had it eight months at its only done 70k!

Tis me who had the gearbox recon'd innit! All in for £1300.00 at Transmission Technology in Solihull for my td6. Very reasonable considering they recon'd the g-box and torque converter as well. Nice chap as well!

coming soon to an underpigeon near you

Since when did everyone in the Range Rover section start modding their cars with tacky add on's? Soon you will all be dressed in head to toe white Lonsdale tracksuits and having babies for benefits. This is a dark day... :mil43:

    Tatty!

I've got both an l322 and a 110 and they are both great, just in completely different ways The 110 is not a car, it is a fast tractor!

I think at the end of the day, rangies are complicated beasts- so it is only common sense that more will/or can potentially go wrong. Every single car has its own common issues/faults. Its just that some cars have more than others. And this is a car that went for £50k plus when new, so you need...

    Tatty!

I don't recommend rangies as daily drivers unless you have a second car always available! :0 When the lab gets old and his back legs give in (as they all do), it will be a long way to lift him! My advice is... go with your heart, just make sure that you are handy with a spanner, and have a...
