I am currently looking to change the k series engine in my freelander the one i have aquired has an auto grearbox attached can anyone tell me if the bolt positions are the same for manual/ automatic gearbox to a 1.8 k series engine and if there is anything i should look out for? many thanks

I just purchased my first freelander a 2002 with a 1.8 K series. While looking at the engine I have noticed oil leaking from the end of the front cam shaft (exhaust) on the battery side also the small cover plate is missing. Would this suggest the camshaft oil seal has gone? How easy are...
