Had same problem last week on my rear passenger wheel. Bought 2 new discs callipers and pads for the rear wheels cost £150 all in my mechanic mated fitted them and told me the rear passenger side calliper was goosed. Problem is now solved

Yeah kinda what I was thinking more of a sensor issue. Will find out after I replace the coolant sensor and thermostat . Not too expensive to replace and a good starting point.

Ok driving home tonight same thing happened started up gauge raised to quarter, after around 4 miles sat there for another 3 then dropped to below zero and red light came on .stopped the car turned off engine turned back on straight away it then raised to the half mark with no red light straight...

Just checked the coolant level and it was a bit low ,it took about a 2 pint to top it up. I'll see if it happens again tomorrow.Any ideas why the low coolant level would cause the temp gauge to play up ,remember the tank was not empty just low.

It is a TD5 and coolant level seems ok , it was a bit low tonight however engin was hot I,ll go re- check it now. Heater works fine both hot and cold air no problem.

Temp gauge has started playing funny buggers,on start up it takes a while to rise to the quarter mark then after about 7 miles it reaches the half mark where it normally sits. This is normal business as I have read on here they are slow to reach normal temperature especially in the now cold...

Have ordered 1 from island 4x4 and the aux belt to go with it for £150 mechanics taking £50 to fit it so not too bad. It's my winter car so all I need now is the snow ,glad it packed in when it did.cheers for all your help lads.

Just spoke to my mechanic ,he confirms new pump and belt required. He says it looks like the pump bearing collapsed . New or reconditioned ? If I opt for new which I probably will Paddocks seem to be the cheapest at £135 any recommendations ?

Oh ok cheers don't know how the pulley managed to fall off? It's at my mechanics now will find out the damage tomorrow I guess ,fingers crossed it ain't too expensive

Tom you don't happen to have the wheel nuts do ya. I have 20 inche wheels on mine and have just bought 16 inch wheels but the nuts that are on the 20's are too big so am looking for standard wheel nuts .
