There is a video on you tube which shows how to remove a hard top and roof rails from a three door. Not exactly what you're doing but gives you some useful information. I think I searched under 'Freelander Roof' to find it. I hope this helps.

Right! I changed the pads and disks but one if the piston in the calliper was jammed. Managed to get it back in eventually but having driven the car the pads on one side are binding to the wheel still because the piston is sticking again! How easy ist it to change the calliper or piston or both...
