Last night i decided to take my discovery td5 home i noticed the battery on my phone was running low so i plugged it in ( engine running lights on ) to my surprise all the dash lights went out ie binacle hevac unit etc etc . so i thought no biggies it will just be a blown fuse.....nope i was out...

does it sound like its knocking thru the inlet manifold??????

and all in all you will find that its most probably not the head gasket and it will be liners moving and damaging the head gaskets causing the leak and you will be stripping it again in a few months time to re liner it :(

is it knocking or detonating ( pinking) as plug leads break down under load on these very often

its not repaired its replaced doesnt always rectify the fault and you will end up replacing the valve block as i have said before.... you will need to carry out a modulator bleed one replaced using suitable diagnostics. the above two reasons are the only reason for the symptoms you are getting...

no blanked egr valves is again NOT on the list. any vehicle without a cat thats ment to have one is a fail tho. yes seats being able to move IS one. oh and for those with l322 range rovers with seat problems its damaged wires behind the switch panels!!!

for all those worring about the "new changes in the mot " i had a special notice through informing me of all the new changes just yesterday.... there are many but TYRE NOISE is NOT one of them...the ONLY new one for tyres is that if they state NOT FOR ROAD USE this is now a fail as it never used...

sounds like abs valve block or shuttle valve fault

this would still be a fail !! you would have to remove the entire tow bar not just the tow ball as the mount itself is still there and that you could still tow with it:rolleyes:
