    Disco pick up ideas??

Thats what i was hoping for, a different looking disco that i have built myself. I have been giving the disco a good staring at out the window wondering how i would like it to look and a thought just struck me. Is the roof bolted and bonded to the car or is it welded in?? simon

    Disco pick up ideas??

Does anybody know what the width of a hi-cap tub actually is? I believe they are a couple of inches wider than a 110 tub which is 63" wide. The disco rear is 67" wide i think from my dodgy measurements in the dark so i would possibly need to widen the tub by a couple of inches to make things...

    Annoying squeaking

I had a similar problem on mine. It sounded like i had a canary under the bonnet. I replaced the bearing in the tensioner (easy job), tried the penny trick, then the misses took it out and the alternator siezed 50 odd miles away from home. So have a look at that. I was not popular that day...

    Disco pick up ideas??

I have been thinking about what to do with my 5 door disco 1 which i have sitting on the drive. I rebuilt the engine a while back but i have not refitted it due to a house move, finding the inner wings really need replacing and it could really do with the gearbox or transfer box looking at as it...

Have a few radhaz kits on my watch list now.. The regulator turned up for my new bottle of gas (old one got broken in the house move) so now should be all set. Also got a snap-on 160A mig welder to replace the old clark that died a few years back. So going to have a practice on some scrap to...

Decided to start on the 110 FFR. Ideas plaese..

Bulkhead had turned up and it needs a few repairs but nothing like the one thats on it. Unfortunatly the windscreen that came with it was cracked in transit. It would of been handy to have but not important, the frames is ok so that will probably go back on ebay at some point. We have decided to...

Decided to start on the 110 FFR. Ideas plaese..

Thats what we are inclined to do now. Had a further poke around and found some more rotten bits on the chassis so the the rear tub has to come off to fix properly. Regards. Simon

Decided to start on the 110 FFR. Ideas plaese..

Hi guys. Well we have had the FFR for about a year and have finally decided to do something with it. It needs a new rear crossmember, bulkhead outrigger on the drivers side and a serious repairs to the bulkhead. We had already bought some repair panels for the bulkhead but a secondhand one was...

    squeaky fan belt/tensioner?

On mine it didnt come on, and to cut a long story short took a long time to diagnose just because it didnt (well wife said it didnt and she usually pretty good at these things). Its why i mentioned it. It must siezed up after cooling down after the run and just stranded the wife and father and...

    squeaky fan belt/tensioner?

I had a chirp i thought was the tensioner. Fitted a new bearing and it was still the same. I thought i would have a look later on when i had more time but forgot. Week later i had a call from the wife saying the car wont start. Turned out it was the alternator bearings that were shot and had now...

disco died this morning... maybe fuel pump

Pump arrived this morning and it was fitted reasonably easy after the advice on here. Went through the priming procedure but when i can to start it the battery was too flat to turn it over properly, so had to stick it on charge. Hopefully when thats done it will all start ok.. Fingers crossed...

Well i have a new pump on order and it shound be here tomorrow or the next day. I was going to take the pump out today but decided that i will do that when the new pump is here so that there is less chance of dirt and stuff getting in where i dont want it. I have also decided to give it a full...
