I think it’s the battery, looks like it’s the original. Getting 12v when it’s sitting, dropping down to 8v when starting altenator is putting out 14v when the engines running.

Just to update if anybody was interested. Put to garage and the drivers wheel bearing and prop shaft bearing needed changed. Had that done but now the bloody battery keeps draining.

Hi guys hoping somebody can help with this one. As well as the above there is a crunching noise coming from the drivers wheel when turned hard lock which I presume is the cv joint, can any body help throw some light on what’s happening? Thanks

Ha they certainly can! Will see what like taking it apart. Thankfully guy that’s helping me sort it is a decent mechanic which is a bonus. Will give an update once it’s done.

Hi Guys, Engine has packed in, in my p38...... so looking for a new engine it's a 4l v8. Finding it difficult to find an affordable one and there doesn't seem to be many 4l about..... can any1 help? Also seeing more of the 4.6's for sale, would it be possible to put that into the 4l...

It had overheated for maybe 20 seconds if that. I then pulled over for it to cool down and 10 minutes later it started feeling really slugish and wouldn't "kick down" so i pulled over and it conked out then with smoke also coming out of the air intake pipe.

Had the same problem last week but unfortunatley I went on a long run and the engine packed in, in the middle of no where! Aswell as the steam escaping from the header tank ther was oil seeping out from around the bottom rocker cover. thinking about having a compression test tomorrow, worth it...
