CERTAINLY WOULD, my Freelander 2 TD4 SE is a damm sight better than the Disco 2 TD5 ES I had previously, only 55k miles and always some problem with it. The Freelander 2 is better in every respect.

Just spotted this remark. Before buying a Freelander 2 my previous vehicle was a top of the range TD5 Disco 2 which had only done 55k miles and I only kept for 6 Months So I know which car I prefer and which is the most reliable. No more; Leaking Sunroofs Leaking Air Bags Duff XYZ Switches Oil...

I have sprayed loads of WD40, PTFE & Silicone Grease up under the Scuttle where I guess any moving parts would be. Still the creaking persists. All quiet at first, noise develops after the Car has been driven for a while when things warm up.

The Clutch Pedal on my Freelander 2, TD4 SE, is making an annoying creaking sound when being released. I can not see where lubrication may be needed. Clutch operates OK. Be grateful for any ideas. Ta

I think I have finally sorted the problem. Quite simple really, nothing as serious as Propshafts, Exhausts, Crankshaft Pulleys, Flywheels, Torque Converters, Engine Mounts etc. Turned out to be the Plastic Trim which covers the Sills. Fixed them more securely and the resonance has gone!! What...

Afraid I cannot answer this, the oil was changed by the 4X4 garage from which I purchased the car 2 months ago.

When my TD5 has warmed up after being driven for a few miles, the LED indicators on the gear selector and the dashboard display become intermittant. When this happens, changing from N to D, the box is reluctant to change up from low gear. I can correct this by changing to 3 & back to D again...

Happens all the time, hot or cold, makes no difference. It only happens at just below 2000 RPM, below or above that, it is OK
