    Engine cutting out?

    Hi, I have a 2001 2.5 DHSE auto p38 resently the engine management light illuminated and the engine cut out when driving. The first few times this happened it only lasted a few seconds but the length of time it cuts out seems to be getting longer. Has anyone got any idea what can be causing this?

    Gutted

    Took a very sharp corner, instead of reversing and turning again I thought I would just push through the hedge at the edge of the road. Didn't realise the hedge was growing out of a stone wall. New bumper now on order and hoping I can straighten out my front wing.

    I was looking at www.howmanyareleft.co.uk and was very surprised to find that my 1970 series 2a 88'' Station wagon is one of only five left on the road with another two on sorn.

    I just temporarily put on one of the SP doors that I bought for my series 3 and it fitted perfectly so lesson learned don't by Britpart as it costs more in the end. I have now ordered SP doors for my series 2a. Thanks for to all for your advice.

    It's a Station Wagon, the bottom of the door is flush with the body but the door is sloping outwards towards the top.

    After priming and painting the new doors and door tops (Britpart) that I bought from Paddocks for my series 2a I tried putting them on. The bottom of the door is flush with the bodywork but the top sticks out approx. 1/2 an inch. Has anyone got any ideas on how to adjust the door fitting?:confused:

    nearly fainted

    Put my 1971 series 3 swb in for an mot today to see what work needed doing before the current mot ran out in mid march only to be told it had passed with 2 advisories one for an oil leak and the other for a couple of perrished seals on the ball joints. I couldn't believe it.:)

    Military spec vechicle.

    I have an ex mil 2.5na in my series 3 the engine number should start 11j and the number is located on the block near the rocker cover at the bulkhead end of the engine.

    I think i might have bitten off more than i can chew!

    I couldn't get the drop arm off when I replaced my bulkhead so I lifted the bulkhead out backwards leaving the stearing collumn in place a little bit fiddley getting it past the gear sticks but it came out. Put replacement galv bulkhead on the same way.

    I have a series 3 fitted with parabolic springs make unknown, the bushes are worn out. Will standard series 3 bushes fit or are they specific to the make of the springs?
