For sale is my Landrover Discovery 200tdi 1994 7 seat station wagon. It has 2 months MOT and 3 months tax. I have had various jobs done on it including clutch master and slave cylinders also the clutch fork also 2 sections of exhaust and a water pump. It had usual welding done for last mot but...

would that be a diy job i can only really do basic jobs never tried anything so major:confused:

I have done various jobs on it over the past year including clutch fork ,exhaust, slave cyl ,master cyl , water pump lots of welding also. I think this is the last straw.

Hi Guys. I'm about at the end of the line with my 200tdi discovery. Its beginning to be a bit of a money pit now. Latest problem is head gasket blowing from rear of cylinder 4 in to the bulkhead. I think this is a expensive job to fix so I'm gonna through in the towel on it. My question is...

Hi, I was wondering how hard it was to replace the exhaust manifold gasket on my discovery 200tdi. Has anyone done this and got any advice for me before I start.:)

I will check that but some people say it's sounds like the manifold gasket any ideas:confused:

How long have you had this problem? It has happened to me over the past week. Would you try changing the manifold gasket in the meantime keep checking the oil and water levels. The engine is not really that smokey either.

Hi Guys. My Discovery 200tdi has developed a ticking sound more obvious from the passenger side of the engine. I have no apparent loss of power ,water and oil seem okay. does anyone have any ideas what this could be? :confused:

How do you stop the water pump pulley from turning to be able to crack the fan? I am trying to replace the water pump and so far got stuck at the fan.:confused:

I have tried this it lasted for around 3 weeks until the oil started coming out of the hole and going between the diff and the padding and created a bubble until it popped and I ended up with oil going everywhere. I am going to have another go at it as I think I didn't clean the area enough...

Maybe a 90 or 110 or a range rover classic. It will be August time.:)

What then is the purpose of the plastic clip, is it to stop the push rod from falling into the bell housing if it came unattached from the cylinder. are you saying that I could press the push rod into the slave so it locates and wouldn't have to bother with locating the clip. Thank you for your...

Hi James, call me silly if you want but are you saying that for the fork to work the push rod doesn't need to be clipped to the fork. Could you please explain what you mean. sorry for being a pain I was gutted when it came away.

Hi is it possible to clip the push rod to the clutch fork through the hole for the slave cylinder i have just taken off the slave and the push rod came away from the fork. spent all day getting the new fork in aswell.:confused:
