    People buy some crap

They will be bought by a dealer who wants to move the vehicle on but needs to change the bags in order to get the EAS working - thus preserving over £100 of margin.....

    L322 td6 3.0 hse advise

Biggest issue will be the gearbox - check that it has been refurbed or replaced, if it hasn't then it will most likely need doing soon.... look for rust on the rear wheel arches, behind the rear doors (what I mean is, open the doors to check!) Message display will probably be missing lots of...

Its Been a Year Now - So whats the Damage??

Seems very reasonable to me, although as you say, if you couldn't do your own spannering the story would be very different.... Will do a similar report on mine after a year! Cheers, Jerry

    2006 L322 vogue or 2006 RRS

Hi Keith I knew you wouldn't be able to resist replying to that post ;-) VANOS can be an issue but hardly any failures reported (so far) on the L322 forums, I am guessing because there aren't as many with the high mileages yet. But it is certainly something to keep an eye out for... Ride on...

    2006 L322 vogue or 2006 RRS

Can't speak for the RRS, but regarding L322: Go for 4.4 petrol if you cannot stretch to a diesel V8. You will get a good one for 10K. I get 18-20mpg from mine, the TD6 tends to be around 25mpg by all accounts. With unleaded being cheaper than diesel in the UK, the cost per mile difference is...

    LPG v Petrol

Saint I think you have forgotten that mpg would be higher on petrol.... ..... but this does not alter the fact that the OPs question seemed a bit odd :-) Personnally I doubt it was the LPG cooling pipes that overheated the unit. With a hot exhaust manifold radiating lots of heat nearby, they...

Right, OK....So that is how it is going to be is it you stubborn cow??

Fingers crossed for you here too! Plumbers heat pad a very good suggestion... Cheers Jerry

Right, OK....So that is how it is going to be is it you stubborn cow??

A bit of cheap pipe insulation from B&Q on the coolant pipes as they pass under the control module?? Should be no worse than any other L322 then....

Really sorry to hear the replacement harness did not sort it :-( Fingers crossed on the new ECU! Cheers, Jerry

What's your fuel economy like in your L322 / P38?

Currently averaging around 19mpg - L322 4.4V8 (BMW) - that is according to the trip computer though P38 2.5DT manual was 25mpg generally, 28 on a long run... Cheers, Jerry

    slight shudder

The point is, can you buy the ZF branded kit other than via L/R? Peace of mind of OEM quality with hopefully a lower price.... Cheers Jerry

    slight shudder

I would pay extra for the ZF supplied kit - just for peace of mind, after all this is something you only do every 60K miles! - but is it really necessary to buy it from Land Rover?? Cheers, Jerry

    iPhone connectivity

If that was the objective, I would just buy the intravee and have full ipod control from the OEM head unit! The thing about the parrot is that if you can get one properly connected and integrated, you get - bluetooth hands free - bluetooth audio streaming - ipod connectivity (although control...

    iPhone connectivity

Thinking about it a bit more, I guess it is just a case of - finding a suitable line in for the OEM radio (BM54 I think) - finding a 'telephone' control input for the BM54 also I know the Parrot has a line out, and I presume it has a tele mute output too, even though in the majority of...

    iPhone connectivity

Hi Saint that is very interesting... so clearly it can be done! Did you do the install yourself? If so, we urgently need another of the famous 'how to's :-) Cheers, Jerry

    iPhone connectivity

It's all here, with a bit of searching... fullfatrr.com - View Forum - In Car Electronics As I understand it, the key points are: - your L322 may not have BT fitted (mine doesn'), in which case to get the OEM H/F stuff working will be very expensive as you will have to buy the L/R BT unit. If...

    OBD2 Scanner on P38 & L322

So shouldn't he at least have been able to read the engine ECU via the generic tool?

    Towing with an auto...

Hi all just after a bit of advice... Used the new L322 (4.4 V8) to tow the horse trailer for the first time yesterday - this is also the first time I have towed with an auto.... There were times when the gearbox seemed to struggle to decide what to do - for example 50mph cruising it was...

    Xenons?

Hi Keith - what modification did you do? I am going to take a closer look at the innards of my L322 lights and see if I can cut away a bit of the mask to create the LHD beam pattern - by observing what the lever does that masks the high part of the RHD beam pattern I should be able to work out...

fitting 20" alloys to RR issues?

How many miles are you on now Saint? Mine is at 65K so hoping the gearbox and TC will go for a good while yet....! I do plan on a gearbox oil change at some point soon though. Been in there 10 years now.... Cheers Jerry
