    Taking the old one out was a pain in the a***. 2.5 hours of drilling out and chipping away - it was totally siezed. Think that's why it bust, new cv joint couldn't move the sensor and ground the end off it! Fitting the new one was a breeze - half an hour.:)

    Fitted £25 abs sensor from fleabay- works a treat, I'm sure the £300 one that the stealer wanted to sell me would have made the amigo's disappear as well !:D

    I had almost exactly the same problem and it tuned out to be the throttle position sensor (also known as a throttle potentiometer). Got one for 30 quid off fleabay - working a treat so far

    Over time would the effect of residual magnetism on the carrier fluid not cause a similar effect to the VCU fluid viscosity increasing and therefore damaging the IRD?

    Quick update - bloke at garage drained IRD oil - absolutely clean, no bits or nowt. Turns out when he put his mind to it the front offside brake calliper was jamming:eek: Thanks for your responses :D
