Blue Land Rover Defender 90 Stolen from Merseyside

Hi LRD110 - just read your thread and wanted to offer sympathy (not much use I know). My Harriet went quietly in the night over a month ago and nothing heard since. Its replacement has all the security on it and round it I could muster - disklok, pedal lock, security lights etc etc - and I'm...

    Anyone tried pedal lock?

My replacement is an Epsom Green 110 CSW and I'm really pleased with it. I've now got a pedal lock and a disklok - as well as the vehicle's factory fitted alarm/immobiliser. And I park it behind gates at night, too. Fingers crossed time, I guess... Thanks for the interest in 'Harriet' (RIP) B

    Anyone tried pedal lock?

Landyman 2005 and Boris, thanks for your interest! The X-eng device sounds like it'd be quite effective - you'd need a low loader to get the Defender away! I wonder why it's not legal here in the UK? The Adrenaline pedal lock is the one I was recommended to - although there's a couple of...

    Anyone tried pedal lock?

Hi guys, Still no news re my beloved Harriet (see post 'Help me find Harriet'). I think I have to accept she's gone to the great breaker's yard in the sky. I'm getting another Defender and was wondering if any of you guys had tried the Pedal Lock for the Defender? I WILL get a disklok as...

    Help me find harriet!

Thanks for all your messages of sympathy, guys, all really appreciated! As for the theft prevention advice, I think a DISCLOK is probably the way to go with my NEXT Landy - and there WILL be one whether or not Harriet is recovered. Good to know there are some good folks out there as well as the...

    Help me find harriet!

No, lil_me, I don't think it's solely a woman thing. The thought had crossed my mind that I'd maybe rather not get it back, with the notion that someone else had been in it in these circumstances. My wife and I talked about it and (oddly enough) it was she who made me think positively about...

    Help me find harriet!

Hi all, MadHatMan - thanks for the steer - will do. Grimmer - Blunt rusty stuff? YES! (I'll rip a bit off Harriet for this - she's got plenty!) Security - Erm. Well. There's no easy way to say this. Does a door lock that can be opened with a screwdriver (blunt, rusty or otherwise) count...

    Help me find harriet!

Hi folks, I've just had my 1993 Defender 110 van, aka Harriet, stolen from outside my house in Rushall, Walsall, West Midlands. If anyone sees her please let me know! For what it's worth, the Reg No is/was K561SUY and it is/was white all over (well dirty white anyway - give or take the odd...
