I filled the tank and sitting stationary gauge was reading 3/4 full but when driving it was moving up & down like a yo-yo,after around 250 miles the warning light came on and the gauge dropped below empty.any ideas?

I,ve just rebuilt my 200tdi engine from shells up + recon,ed the turbo and find it sees the hill before me. There is just no get up and go in it. Won,t do over 60mph. :confused: Any Ideas on my problem ?
