Time for a daft question which I can’t find an answer for Am replacing rear stub axles on 1994 Defender 90 The replacements have arrived heavily coated in white grease - presumably to protect in storage Should this be removed with say, brake cleaner before fitting? Many thanks

Hi - apologies have not been around for a while - long story Anyway, back with Defender in ongoing restoration mode and replacing fuel tank Had to hack off all bolts Fiche says 3 bolts to fix fuel tank support bracket to chassis are SH108401L Far too long at 40mm Suspect need to be high...

Por15 is really a 3 part system including a degreaser, etch and then the black paint I can vouch the black paint takes days to come off your face!

Synthetic dries in an hour or so (slow drying time allows brush marks to merge) but can take weeks to fully harden
