    Discovery 2 front wiper grommet

Hi, Hi, No I'm afraid DLL000010 is the large plain steel washer, not the rubber spacer, or as I initially called it, a grommet. I just cant see the part on Microcat, maybe it comes as part of the wiper linkage/motor assy. Chris

Found this on Rave, it does mention a rubber spacer:

    Discovery 2 front wiper grommet

Hi, No I'm afraid DLL000010 is the large plain washer that sits on top of the grommet. This is the part I need:

    Discovery 2 front wiper grommet

Hi, I had the windscreen replaced on my D2 last weekend, just noticed that one of the front wiper grommets is missing from under the large washer under the wiper arm. I cant see this part on Microcat.. anyone got any ideas of a suitable replacement? I suspect its part of the wiper arm...

Upgrading from 10p head to 15p

I'd be using my old 10p cam, so maybe would be ok?

Hi, Yes, holding fire until I get a 2nd (or 3rd!) opinion! Many thanks.

TD5 replacement engine what to look out for and what to do?

Hi, According to Turner engineering the older 10p injectors will work fine with a 15p head, do you have any more info as to why they wont work (or fit)? I need to be sure of this before I invest in a 15p head... Cheers!

Upgrading from 10p head to 15p

Cheers, I've done some research (on various forums) and it would seem that people tend to agree with what you have said, however I emailed Turners today, they confirmed the opposite, that the black top injectors will work fine in a 15p head!

Upgrading from 10p head to 15p

Hi, My 10p cylinder head on my TD5 needs replacing, will buy a new one from Turner Engineering along with fitting kit and new bolts etc. However, I've been thinking about replacing the 10p with the later 15p, it'll also need the later fuel regulator, but I'm not sure about the injectors...

    Britpart 'Super Gas' shock absorbers

Yes it comes with a poly bush pre-fitted, Island 4x4 were going to send me out a standard lower bushing but apparently this wouldn't fit the supergaz shocker so its going back for a refund.

    Britpart 'Super Gas' shock absorbers

Dunno, that's just how they are?

    Britpart 'Super Gas' shock absorbers

Went for Monroe, as a reasonable budget alternative. At least the lower bushing is rubber and not cheese.

    Britpart 'Super Gas' shock absorbers

Yep, it was a stupid thing to do, I hope other people wont make the same mistake! Lesson learned.

After less than 200 miles on my Disco 2, all of it on road... Not so super.

    Disco 2 shock tower KVU101051

It appears that you are quite correct! I asked another supplier, Sam at Island 4x4 confirms that all these D2 shock towers, regardless of brand, are unthreaded, the bolt cuts the thread. What a bizarre way of doing things. Pity that Paddocks were unaware of this, would have saved some messing...

    Disco 2 shock tower KVU101051

Another arrived at Paddocks today from LR, this is also unthreaded, they suspect a faulty batch. May end up with a Britpart... :-/

    Disco 2 shock tower KVU101051

Yeah I saw that, but I think its just tooling marks, cant see any lead at the start of the thread. Back to Paddocks. Cant see any mention of 'cut your own threads with a new bolt' in Rave!

    Disco 2 shock tower KVU101051

Hi, A shock tower on my Disco 2 is suffering from some serious corrosion, so I ordered a new genuine Landrover one from Paddocks. It finally arrived today, however the square 'nut' on the top that accommodates the upper retaining bolt for the shock absorber appears to be unthreaded. I'm...

Brake pipe nut (male end) size?

On my Disco 2 it was 11mm, however had corroded down to something like 10.5mm! The only way to get them off was with an extremely tight molegrip and lots of Plusgas.

2003 TD5 Disco alarm system problem please help

Might be worth putting a multimeter on the starter solenoid feed to see if its actually getting any voltage when the key is turned to 'start'. I had a similar problem and it was a badly contaminated starter solenoid.
