Ok, so have founf out that the rad is designed for two types of setups. mine does'ent use that lower pipe. What could I use to block it off and will be strong enough?

As i said, it is exactly the same. On the old rad the pipe stuck out with no hose attached and did not show any sign of leak, on the new rad it pours out. There is no hose coming from anywhere to attach to this pipe. I saw a thread about this but can not find it.

Thanks for the info. It is a twin axle trailer, at 680kg empty its no problem. max load I have had was 550kg. combined 1230kg. I Know what the vehicle can pull on paper, but you would'ent pull that every day, surely the engine would pop out of it's bay. I will check and calculate the trailer...
