Are you aloud up Rivington lane in Bolton

There was a convoy of vehicles trying to get up there earlier in the year, when it was icy and snowy. But I was under the impression it was closed to motor vehicles. I guess I could be wrong. Some of Shoguns were really struggling on the rocks and got through on brute force. Although it made for...

    Steering stop locks

Hi Steve. The bolts are located on the front of the swivel housings, so quite easy to get to. Cheers, Matt

    Steering stop locks

I just thought I'd ask before spending loads of time on it tomorrow and maybe messing it up. I thought it would be a good idea to check with the wealth of experience on this forum and potentially save me a load of time messing in the morning. :-)

    Steering stop locks

Hey guys, Just fitted some 265 75 16 MTs, on Boost Alloys to my Discovery. I've adjusted the steering stop locks by 5mm, thinking this would give a decent enough clearance of the arms, but when I've test driven it the bolts are just too far forward now. Can anyone tell me the best...

    Hindley, Wigan. Landy90 stolen 23.10.2014

A mate of mine fits alarms. He's a brilliant Auto electrician, mobile and reasonably priced. He's based in Garswood. http://www.facebook.com/VWAIRCOOLEDAUTOELECTRICREPAIRNW/photos/pb.341520655906363.-2207520000.1416677589./763964303661994/?type=3&theater

    Tree/Rock Sliders

Hiya guys, Recently my side step gave a little when I stood on it. I decided it was time to upgrade to some rock/tree sliders/nerf bars - or whatever you want to call them. I was just wondering if anyone has any good ideas for where to get them from and which are, probably, the best to go...

What millage are everyones td5's on? problems?

My dad's has 155k and it pulls great. We had to do the rear airbags, and I've cleaned of the MAP sensor. Only other bugbears have been the usual sunroofs constantly leaking, the ECU on the rear roof packed in due to water ingress and the driver's wiper arm falling off during a massive snowstorm...

    Mad! ...but a bit sad.....

My mate turned up the other night to show me his new Land Rover! I wasn't quite expecting this. The detail in it, is incredible but even so.... Working disc brakes 4 pots, no turbo! !!! 5 speed box with hi/low! Anyway, he's Dutch so you gotta let him off....

    Goddam P Gasket

Cheers guys! No, the mechanic who fitted it for me didn't use any sealant but did use a metal gasket. I'm assuming this is what has cocked it up. He is a top geezer and doesn't charge us a lot at all, so I'm not too upset with him over it. I will just do it again myself and use...

    Goddam P Gasket

Morning Chaps, Looks like the P gasket has gone again on the Discovery (300tdi). Going to sort it this weekend, but does anyone know if there is some kind of uprated gasket that I can get or just the standard one? Any ideas what could have made it go again? It's been just under 12...

    You want how much???

Last year, I tried with all the big 4x4 specialists and couldn't get it lower than £400. A couple wouldn't even cover me because I wanted a higher mileage allowance and European cover.

    You want how much???

I don't know how you lot do it. 11 years NCB, clean license, no points, married, blah blah blah. 300tdi discovery R-reg, kept on the drive, few choice mods, even reduced the value to try and keep the insurance lower, 4,000miles limited. £225 It is the cheapest car insurance quote I've had...

Spotted - Blue 90 with Landyzone stickers

Hi guys, I was in Accrington two days ago when I saw a lovely blue 90 with orange 'Landyzone' stickers all over it. I don't know what's in it, but it doesn't half shift! I was in our old Seat Leon Cupra and I couldn't catch it at first! Finally, got past it on the M66 and gave a...

    light problems

Morning guys. Yesterday I gave the Discovery (300 tdi, 1997) a really good power wash. When I came to start the car I saw the dash lights weren't working. I then discovered the headlights aren't working either, except on full beam. There's a row of extra lights on my roof which are connected to...
