Newer Range Rover: would you go for RRS or FFRR?

Well....I went for the RRS! A G4 Challenge 4.4 V8 to be precise. Fuel economy aside, I love it!! :D:D

Yeah, you're right, I bet they'd be terrible offroad... Oh, hang on, what's this? Three Land Rovers Tackle Sugarloaf - Extreme 4x4 preview - YouTube

What effect did the remap have on power/smoothness/MPG? Which remap did you go for? Thanks!

Newer Range Rover: would you go for RRS or FFRR?

I actually like the looks of both vehicles, but agree that the RRS looks more balanced - I absolutely love the front end of the original RRS models, looks brilliant. As for offroad ability, this guy seems to give it a good go! RRSPORT.CO.UK • View topic - Range Rover Sport Extreme Offroad...

Newer Range Rover: would you go for RRS or FFRR?

Weird isn't it, those guys who drove from London to Cape Town praised their L322 for it's reliability and made it without issue! I still can't decide but off to view and test drive a Td6 L322 tonight to see what all the fuss is about :)

Newer Range Rover: would you go for RRS or FFRR?

That is true Saint, but I'm not buying the vehicle solely for that trip, it's gotta be an all-rounder - I'll just make sure it is covered in mud before I go to disguise it's newness!!

How do you get you roof tent on your roof...

I do have a carport and had considered that, but don't think it'll be tool enough with an RR as well as a roof tent / top box!

Newer Range Rover: would you go for RRS or FFRR?

I'm always surprised about the dislike (bordering on hatred!!) of the RR Sport, which is part of the reason I created the poll! I must admit, I do hate the chav'd up ones with 22" wheels, chrome everywhere and all the other stupid stuff. But to me, a proper RR Sport with the 18" or 19" wheels...

How do you get you roof tent on your roof...

Yeah I think that's the only way, which is a right PITA!! Thanks anyway :)

Newer Range Rover: would you go for RRS or FFRR?

Most people on here tend to own RR Classic or P38's, but supposing you were going to trade them in for a newer model, which would you go for - Range Rover Sport or Full Fat Range Rover L322? Perhaps more importantly, why would you choose one over the other?

How do you get you roof tent on your roof...

...without scratching the hell out of your roof?! Annoyingly I caught mine when I collected my tent (first time fitting, at night, etc - was going to happen I guess!) and don't want to repeat it. It's a Maggiolina Safari, so seems lightweight until you have to lift it above your head - at...

Anyone want to swap tyres (235/70/16)?

Thanks Zan but don't think they're quite rugged enough for my requirements!

Anyone want to swap tyres (235/70/16)?

I have four virtually new Insa Turbo Traction Track A/T tyres on my RRC, 235/70/16 size. The have probably done 1,000 miles, if that, since I got them late last year. Ideally I want a less aggressive tyre for my trip to Morocco, so was wondering if anyone fancied a swap? I only want the same...

Mounting a roof tent on a Range Rover Classic?

Hi ratty, I think the Oasis are a 'fair weather' tent, not sure if they'd withstand a Saharan sandstorm! I've bought a used Maggiolina Safari now. Post some pics when you've mounted your tent - I've seen an Oasis before on an RR Classic:

Second battery + split charging system on RRC V8?

Haha, thanks! Plenty think I'm mad/foolish, mainly because of A) it's a V8 and may overheat and B) it's on air suspension. I have been recommended to add Millers Cooling Additive to the coolant before I go, this lowers engine temperatures by up th 15'C, which combined with a working viscous fan...

Thermal cover? Doubt i'll need that in Morocco in August, but I still want one!
