I have a 1984 110 with a perkins conversion soon to be 200tdi .It has the original gearbox LT77 and has done 59k . I can only just get to 55-60 mph . What model transfer box can improve this and can it be from a discovery.

looking to change perkins conversion back to landrover engine(in a 1984 110) , everyone says 200tdi for reliability and ease of installation (defender engine )so going for that.

I have a 1984 110 with a perkins 3800cc conversion which has a cracked water jacket therefore i want to replace the engine.Is a 200tdi defender engine and gearbox going to be a good choice(fitting and performance) or is the disco just as good /easy to fit? :confused::confused::confused:
