Thought I share my rebuild of a 1994 disco 1 3.9 v8. This was pretty much a full rebuild and my first, I haven't run it up yet until I get in the defender its built for. But if nothing else it looks like it will work :-) Got the Auto box as an exchange unit (just below the V8)

I guess this means i have an issue - my hand brake drum moves up and down about 10mm. After driving 60 miles my gearbox tunnel and middle seat was v hot. Im guessing the heat is caused by the drum rubbing on the pads, but whats causing the movement ? Its a 110 1992 2.5 n/a mostly original.

Has anyone tried this ? I'm about to pull my disco doors apart to see if the mechanical bits can be fettle to fit in my defender. I can cope with the electronics if I can get the mech bits working . Couldn't find any old threads on this if anyone has tried this please let me know
