    Roof Lights

Just bought a defender with a light bar fitted. They worked beautifully for a week, then fused ( I think). So which fuse will it be?? An extra or the one for the main beam. Have to admit I haven't had a look yet. They look like they've been fitted properly and I've got an internal flick...

upgrading 300 to td5... how much?

Fair play Treg....... A few points: 1. Sadly, this will be a private vehicle so we have to pay the VAT. That is a no no. 2. Ideally we want a county pack, nice alloys etc... not like number 2 3. Last one seems a bit more like it but once we have fitted tow bar and electrics, chucked...

upgrading 300 to td5... how much?

I hear what you're saying about the definition of "upgrade" but for general road driving with the odd horsebox drag through a muddy field the TD5 is a much nicer sounding and refined engine... appreciate the head gasket reliability worries!!! A bit more info. The car is a private sale, it...

A welsh bird's guide to suspension bushes??

My defender 90 needs the suspension bushes replacing as it shakes itself to pieces when you reverse off a curb or go over a speed hump. Is this a big job?? How much will I expect to pay for parts labour etc at a local garage. Any info greatly appreciated;)

    Defender door locks

I can get into my Defender by using just about any household key and even my finger nails  Is there any point changing the locks as I've heard it's a common issue?? Or should I get some sort of locking cubby for storing bits and pieces?? thanks

    OTT Adventures - Anglesey

Think you're right, best to go at the top end. A lot of the land at the Crigyll end is privately owned upto the riverside by golfclub, caravan site and houses on the warren. That's why there are so many 'look outs' plus the coastal path people are planting dune grass and semi policing the area...

    OTT Adventures - Anglesey

I go on Cymyran beach quite a lot and have never seen any Landys on it. I can't see how you'd get in the sand dunes either as someone got an old 4x4 stuck up there a few summers ago. The front beach are now charging boats to launch off there so car on beach action is limited and all the access...

Where's that then?? All the exits at the bottom of Cymyran have been bollarded off so you cannot get back to the road via the bailey bridges or by the bottom of the caravan site.

Disco or Freelander to tow horses??

Have a TD 5 which is a God to tow with but thirsty and a nightmare to park in town (yeah it's a bird posting). I use it to tow a horse trailer in and out of muddy fields and have to do frequent hill starts etc. Will the Freelander manage this on a regular basis or is it just too feeble...
