Anyone got any experience of this place? Read a post on another forum from over a year ago that said the owner didn't have the place rigged up to well for 4x4 playing but was getting it sorted.. Website shows it at about £35 for a couple of days playing, which sounds tempting.

Can't dig out any photos online of the place and was wondering if anyone's been more recently that can rate it?

Cheers
James

I go on Cymyran beach quite a lot and have never seen any Landys on it. I can't see how you'd get in the sand dunes either as someone got an old 4x4 stuck up there a few summers ago.

The front beach are now charging boats to launch off there so car on beach action is limited and all the access from the golf club end is blocked by posts and things.:(

Rhosneigr has gone through the roof so there's always someone around when ur out to have fun:mad:

There are clear signs saying "no driving on the foreshore" it doesnt say anything about yomping all over the grasslands and dunes though. Thats all I do. As I said previously I am a bit new to this and just testing very cautiously the capabilities of this wonderful vehicle!

As for charging boats, I pay £60 a year for the privelige of launching off any of Angleseys slipways. To register I have to prove my boats insured. So theoretically all the boats using public slips are responsibly used and insured. The only time I can legally drive on the beach is with my boat on the back!

The area revjames and I were talking about is the area behind cymyran beach at the Caergeiliog end, accessed down the lane from Caergeiliog. The part you're talking about is Crigyll beach or town beach as it's often referred to. I remember that motor stuck at the top of the dunes it wasn't stuck but abandoned by the look of it, twas an old Isuzu trooper with the roof cut off. The posts etc at the golf club end are only a barrier if you choose not to go round them. Bear in mind there are a lot of busy bodies round there who ring the cops as a hobby so keep a low profile if you can. They've just about put a stop to anyone riding dirt bikes aound there on the basis of noise nuisance.......it's right next to the runway ffs:confused:

Think you're right, best to go at the top end. A lot of the land at the Crigyll end is privately owned upto the riverside by golfclub, caravan site and houses on the warren. That's why there are so many 'look outs' plus the coastal path people are planting dune grass and semi policing the area. Another point to note about Cymyran is that half way down is an island 'Starvation' that is owned by RSPB (you probably know already) but during nesting season they watch it night and day to stop people going near it.

i dunt think that ott place is on mon, if you watch the video they are in a forest, and i aint never seen any forestry land on mon. i have a feeling its that place that advertises painballing near bodelwyddan on the 55
Yea I'm struggling to think where it could be if it's sposed to be near benllech.

T'aint newborough. I've spent a lot of time in there on me dirt bike and don't recognise it.(oops don't tell anybody). There's some forestry over pentraeth way but I can't see em letting the likes of us in there due to the precious red squirrel habitat. Spose it could be on one of the estates around dulas way but I dunno where:confused:

What's amazing is that the geezers running it won't tell you where it is until you book a day with them. To me that's a wierd way to run a business.
