Correct, the 88 had a refit with a 2.5NA engine. I believe a 19J. Told the insurance man and he said no problem as it's an accepted update due to age as long a it doesn't have a turbo. Bit like me really, the no turbo thing ;)

Thanks for your replies guys. Yes it does still have the little rubber wheel that is used to turn off the indicators and yes the 5w bulb is still there. easye1 - yes the original flasher tin can did have a spade terminal for the stalk lamp but I'm afraid that is long gone. The relay that is...

Ah sorry - Indicator repeater bulb on the stalk. As in the bit hanging off the steering shaft that the steering wheel is connected to. A bit long winded there but I think you get my meaning -

Hi Guys, My series 2a 1968 is having a compete rewire - O what fun that is :eek: I have got everything working except the flasher repeater bulb. Does anyone know if this is a MOT requirement? I'll fix the repeater bulb eventually but as time is of the essence here I was hoping I could do it...

OK fixed and running like a kitten! New head gasket, new injector seals, "home recon" of injectors ;) refit head core plugs, apply enough goo... :) Bloody big battery and jump it off company car :p New glow plugs, reset timing on pump, Bit of a rewire and hey presto :car:

Hi guys, anyone got a rail header for a series 2A? Picked up a canvas and hoops but the windscreen header rail is missing :( Based in Rochester Kent but distance not too much of a problem: company car and company fuel :p

I'll have the head if your scrapping the engine. Is is a 14J? Can pay good money, well when I say good I mean once I've got some more ink for the old printer :eek:
