    Can somebody help me solve this problem: When the engine is started either hot or cold it revs to 2000RPM and then drops back to 1000RPM.I have tried the base idle and the screw is at max but revs are still high.I have replaced the stopper motor. Help would be appreciated. John

    I bought a 1986 RR with 3.5 Carb engine. I have had the compression checked and found it down on cylinder 6 so off with the heads and grind in the valves. Re assembled and still has the missfire. Next a Leak detection showing leak on 6. Could this be a cam or lifter problem rather than ring...

    I think fanatic is right about the pipework but how did the car get this option as I have never seen it before, by the way it makes it bloody hard to get at the plugs. As for the the genuine parts , yes I bought original where available. Could the missfire be a sticking tappet if not I think...
