Hi all, Right, so finally got round to this. Solved the steering damper issue ... but found / created another problem (isnt it always the same?). So, I thought I'd go with the suggestion of using an old fan belt. Need to get the old belt off first ... but encounter a rounded nut and couldn't...

damn good idea - I'd not thought of that - something I'll keep in mind for another occassion maybe, but in this case, the offending nut is currently flush with the end of the rod ... grr..... BHOBW

Hi folks, Fitted a britpart * (hmmm.....) steering damper a week ago. BTW - had the same problem as some else here that I read - had to file it down to make it fit near the pivot bolt! Anyhow, the steering became way better, but after a few days I noticed the death wobble was back. Checked it...
