Thanks man, Does anyone know the tourqe setting for the nut holding on the flange??? I persume it needs to be set just right.

Hi lads, I have a 1996 disco and the rear diff oil seal is gone and I've gotten a flange kit from famous four. When I removed the prop there was a spiggot sticking out from the old flange, I presume there is a nut or bolt behind this spiggot. How do I get the spiggot out!! tried...

Hi lads, my rear diff seems to be leaking oil. It's spraying it upwards by the look of it, but I can't tell exactly where its coming from. Any ideas or help would be great. Cheers, Fish PS. it's a 300 TDI disco 1996 vintage.

Their good on tick over but give her a rev and watch them slide!! I'll check out the return pipes, So , she could be flooding instead of starving.

Thats what I got but the pressure is sliding it back up the nozzle :confused:

Got a length of rubber pipe to link the banjos on the injectors. same bore as the originals ( or so I thought) but the pressure is sliding them back and so leaking more fuel. What type of pipe or what dimensions of pipe do I need??

Should I be able to hear a clicking or tapping noise as the crank works the lift pump?

Thanks, never had a4x4 before, messed about with a few bikes. having to learn fast.

I replaced the perished pipes, but the new ones seem to be to big a bore as when the pressure is on their blowing out fuel, I've changed the washers. I checked the pick up pump and its pumping fuel manualy and off the crank. Think I'll get some tighter pipes and soften them in boiling water...

No ticking sound, should I take off that pump and clean it out??

... and how do I sort the leak, new washers??
