Rear diff seal

Hi lads,

I have a 1996 disco and the rear diff oil seal is gone and I've gotten a flange kit from famous four.

When I removed the prop there was a spiggot sticking out from the old flange, I presume there is a nut or bolt behind this spiggot.

How do I get the spiggot out!! tried everything. pulling via the thread through the spiggot,heat, brute force . Is this only a guide for the prop??

you use a slide hammer with an 8mm bolt into the shaft - nut is behind it

Thanks man tried that and snapped the bolt:doh:, now I have to try and get that out

Does anyone know the tourqe setting for the nut holding on the flange???

I persume it needs to be set just right.
