thinking of fitting one in me 1971 rrc to replace the 4hp24eh what i need to know is ...the bellhousing from a 4hp will it fit the 5hp?and torque converter...will 5hp one fit the p38 flexiplate and fit in the 4hp bellhousing?(if that fits) you see i dont think there is a 5hp bellhousing to fit...

bloody got a lazy lifter after 2000miles!!.best oil you can buy, kent cam run in proper, new lifters. rockers, shafts etc..never drive off untill got full oil pressure, never cane her untill warm oil.. lifter sorts itself out after 10 secs, BUT cant have that!! so as engine is rather high...
