Hi all, I'm after some bits if you can help...... 97 Disco 300 TDI 3 door offside outer b post plastic trim, lower tail gate hinge and a drivers door preferably in white. I am located in cwmbran, south wales but will travel. Cheers all.

make sure you have the ignition on, if that dont work, replace it

i drilled a hole in the roof above the rear interior light and used an SO239 mount

i suspect the crank sensor, if it started ok before the work then it must have either been damaged during the flywheel change or its the wrong flywheel with no reluctor. what smoked? the crank sensor? that shouldn't happen so i suspect that will be the problem

there's not much on that side that'll leak. the main oil filter is replaced every 36,000 miles (rotor oil filter every 12,000) and because of this, the seal can go hard and start to leak, so I'd change the main oil filter and keep an eye on it. The other place that a leak could occur but less...

Hey all. Some will remember me, a lot wont!!! I'm back as I've just bought my first ever land rover, a 300 tdi disco, worked on 'em for 10 years and never owned one until now. Floppy hat, you still about?

I've seen the light and got the hell out of there. Stress free job now and it's great. No more land rover warranty work, jeez did that **** do my head in or what?

I jacked it in at land rover about 14 months ago and got another job so never came back on here, was fed up with landys and the moaning customers that go with them! Tired compressor is a common one for this fault

V8 or diesel? extensive short journeys and not letting the engine warm up can cause mayonaise to form in the oil filler cap, this is just condensation build up. Dip the oil and have a look to see if it's in the sump too, if in doubt steer well clear. Diesels don't usually cause concern for head...

Inner joints usually cause a vibration under acceleration. knocking could well be worn anti roll bar links

depends what carb(s) your using. mine has a 4 barrel weber and I run it at around 5psi. You'll know when it's too high as the excess pressure will overcome the float needles causing flooding and/or seriously high fuel consumption
