    L322 Brake Caliper alternatives

Can confirm parts are identical and cheaper. Just bought OSF for caliper beyond refurb and it took 10 mins to fit. Also went ahead and picked up another new OSF along with 3 2nd hand blasted to send to Bigg Redd.

    Battery size for 4.4 v8

Bosch S5 020. Pig to get in on your own but seems ok after a week. PM me no rear caliper as ordered full set for powder coating so will have spare from current set in a few weeks. In meantime just take yours off and see if piston pitted. Sand down and make sure seals are ok.

Lucky White Heather ? Fron Diff Gone : 1 day after buying !!!

Re driving ok it was but now seems to be restricting revs, prob failsafe actually doing what it is meant to. I did wonder whether some sort of reset of error code was required following diff fitting ?

V8 - Is it worth proactively overhauling gearbox before it blows up ?

Ok so now found a box from 2002 V8 at not a bad price. Who do you guys recommend I contact to get it reconditioned to have as a nice spare in the background ?

V8 - Is it worth proactively overhauling gearbox before it blows up ?

So feedback from Mackie was same as Dave's. Just do the maintenance as having it stripped and reconditioned internally is just as expensive as actually waiting for it to fail and do it then. Good consistent feedback so will be the course of action and Strathearn have been asked to service...

V8 - Is it worth proactively overhauling gearbox before it blows up ?

Great info all and many thanks for it. I think approach will be to get the car fully services whilst diff is in for fixing (incl changing gearbox oil) and to see what Mackie quote anyway. Some small relief to hear ZF is a little more sturdy....

V8 - Is it worth proactively overhauling gearbox before it blows up ?

They are better apparently BUT given the way my luck is going this week and the mileage on the L322 is 53k I wonder if the investment may just be worth it in the long run. Dropped Mackie's a mail and see what they come back with on price.

V8 - Is it worth proactively overhauling gearbox before it blows up ?

May seem like a strange question but with recent buy L322 in garage for front diff I wonder if at some point it would be worth (or indeed is possible) going proactive on the gearbox and getting the TC etc looked at & replaced BEFORE the bloody thing goes bang ? Has anybody done this ...

LPG Installer Scotland - Recommendations ?

Lori without starting a war on here about that particular person let's just say a 25hr bill for fitting an exhaust kind of put me off previously. Thanks anyway for your suggestion. :)

LPG Installer Scotland - Recommendations ?

Gave it a go. Disappointingly next to nothing there apart from non-cert guy who seems a good guy but works from own home garage and unlikely to manage L322.
