Hi

Does anyone know the A/h and Amps that the bmw engined 4.4 v8 needs, the handbook usefully says 90 A/h or 110 A/h

It currently has a 8 month old Exide battery in rated 90 A/h and 800A and it's being a nightmare to start,

cheers

Go for the biggest that will fit. Try Battery Megastore on line, good prices and the battery's seem good.
Have you got a battery drain problem?

I went to halfrauds for mine and had them fit it (big mistake) the type of battery they used was a halfrauds special they assured me were made by Bosch, the battery clamp did not fit so they decided to put clamp in a vice to modify a little by bending  then another guy said i'll top your washer bottle up too sir, he was using a watering can and most of the 5 gallon in his can was ****ed all over the fuse box . enough is enough went in store and kicked off at the incompetence of the spotty employees and ruining my good Friday got a full refund and a free battery

Nothing has stood out, the inability to start is a tad intermittent. I had the battery out the other day and put it on my optimate charger, it came up with battery poor after charging, but after stopping it over night and switching on again it came up with battery good, so who knows.

slung the battery back in yesterday, drove it then. Today I went to start it and it let it crank briefly but then nothing. Cleaned up and copper greased all the connections but still nothing.

I've still the receipt for the battery from euro car parts, so I'll pop along tomorrow. I fear they'll only do a straight swap rather than let me pay extra for an upgrade but I'll try

suggest you stand ground and advise it is not fit for purpose. Get a refund and then go and get another...

Popped round the euro car parts today and they were happy to refund the goosed battery, So I just paid the difference to upgrade to a 5 year bosch 110Ah. £44 pounds so can't complain.

Unfortunately it's been keyed, again, and I need a new or refurbed rear caliper as mine is sticking

I got a Bosch one from halfords ... Thought the halfords own thing to small and low on zapppp .. £91 with trade card and 5 year warranty happy bunny

Bosch S5 020. Pig to get in on your own but seems ok after a week. PM me no rear caliper as ordered full set for powder coating so will have spare from current set in a few weeks. In meantime just take yours off and see if piston pitted. Sand down and make sure seals are ok.

The 110 one is the one you want !

Also try and get the one with the highest CCA cold cranking amps!

Unfortunately the RR does zap the battery I don't there are many RR that can last 2 weeks fully alarmed and not drain the battery !

M reg with a 200 tdi engine the real engine !!!!

Out of all the landys I have had engine wise in my opinion this is the best Got one with 260k still no rebuild !!

Cant see my RR getting to that

or even a td5

nice !

but a disco doesn't have all the electriciary the range rover does, so no wonder the battery lasts a long time

To be fair my old Td5 disco would have lasted about 3 weeks !

The RRL322 now would struggle two weeks fully armed
