I'm after a silicone hose kit for my mates defender. However it has a disco 200tdi in it so the lay of the turbo is different. Does anyone know of a supplier of this kit?

Thanks guys, that confirms what I said to him. He's complained its low on power since he got it. But He's never serviced it. Filters first.

My Mates 200tdi starts but cuts out immediately unless the throttle is pressed. Once running it ticks over (maybe a bit rough but not serious) but when you rev it - it doesn't reach its full potential. Any thoughts? I'm thinking fuel - filter maybe lift pump?

The big white sender unit you removed - were the fuel pipes connected to this? Normally the big white sender unit is both pump and fuel level all in one. If your fuel pipes weren't connected to this then you don't have standard landrover gear.

So does the low pressure go through the filter and then return into the pump for the HP pump? That makes sense at the filter. I need to check my gauge on something else. I did connect it at the inlet to the fpr for HP. But I only get 1bar and the car is running.

Is it possible to replace parts of the viscous fan or is it only the complete unit available?

It could be your turbo pipes are delaminating. Thus the pipe is crushing and restricting airflow.

Common problems: 1. Injectors have copper washers and O-rings. These are known to fail. Cheap to buy - get genuine parts. A slide hammer makes the job easier or make a lever out of an old allen key. 2. Could be Injector loom. About £30. Easily done whilst rocker cover is off. 3. In the fuel...
