When you say recently, do you mean within 30 days? Was the purchase place a official LR dealer, if so I thought they had a 30 day return policy.

Is the engine staying at normal temp and what is it reading underload? Any milky goo in the filler cap? What colour is the water? I'd go through flushing the radiator out and replacing the coolant before ripping the head off if it's keeping it temp and not showing signs of emulsifiying...

I wouldnt think there was much in it (the wheel issue!!) but the advantage is that you stand a better chance of battering the steel rim back into shape when you are in the middle of nowhere, if you buckle it and it looses its seal.

I think that they put that size tyres on the early camel disco's. They were a fair bit taller though. I don't think the pcd is the same for the rims though.

for that sort of money, I would take a look at the adverts in the Mags LRM/LRE for the jap imports, high spec and next to no rust. Most of them are auto's though and you'd have to waxoil it straight away. They are mint condition. If you intend to keep it, spend the money on the best one...

Try and source a D2 steel wheel, got to be cheaper.

I used traffic grime remover and it worked fine!! Plenty of water after and a good drying out.
