    2 things. 1: Running without a thermostat can cause turbulence which causes bad circulation. 2: Remove the radiator and reverse flush it while it's upside down.     90 rear brakes binding

    I bet you've partially squashed one of the rear brake pipes somewhere in the system. That would be enough to not fully release the fluid pressure to the rear brakes.

    Just for once, the Haynes manual describes it quite well. It even tells you how to make the required tools. (timing tools and crank locking tool.) Allow yourself plenty of time and check the water pump gasket for seepage while your in that area. Tony
