    Indicator stalk removal

Having searched the forum previously I'm seking some guidance on removing the indicator/light stalk. I've had problems with the lights playing up on my '96 300Tdi Disco and have a new switch but how on Earth is the switch removed? I removed the two cross head screws and the copper (horn?)...

My 300Tdi has 143k miles on the clock, is it worth having the injectors taken out and re-conditioned? Cheers Rob

    Headlights

I bought a set of 8" Wipac spots from Rebel 4x4 with 100w lamps. Given Wipac used to have a bad name and only 4o quid, I was dubious of the quality and light output. I shouldn't have been, they are superb, have a great beam pattern and look great. Cheers Rob

    300TDi earth lead

Behind the battery on the inner wing is an M6 stud, the earth lead has a tag crimped on it which goes onto this stud. I just put on another earth strap. Cheers Rob

    300TDi earth lead

I'd love to know the clown who designed the earth lead on the 300TDi, he deserves numpty of the year award. Why would you put a crimp mid way down it, bolt that to the inner wing then have a swaged terminal at the end. bolted to the chassis:mad: I've had charging problems, starting problems...

    More 'leccy woes?

Yet another 'leccy problem with my D1 which I'm running out of my own idea's to solve - Turn on the side lights with ignition off, no problem. Turn on side lights with ignition on and the hightlights dimly illuminate. A multimeter shows 6.3v going to both lamps. Pull the left hand side...

    3oo tdi headlight bulbs

Just got off the phone to a plod pal of mine and granted, he's not in the Traffic Division but he reckons I'd get a 'Rectification notice', in other words, 7 days to change them back to the manufactures standard fitment. I'll take me chances.

    3oo tdi headlight bulbs

It's bending law sure however - How many chav cars do you see with blue LEDs? How many cars do you see with front fogs on in clear visibility? How many cars do you see with only partially de-frosted windscreens? I got stopped on Saturday on the way to work at 05:00 for a breath test, copper...

    Christmas tree Disco ('lecky prblem)

I ended up removing the fuses to see if I could isolate the problem circuit. Turns out that the fine wires that support the filament on the O/S rear tail lamp had warped and were in contact with the uprights that hold the brake light filament so when I put on the side lights, it was feeding 12v...

    Christmas tree Disco ('lecky prblem)

Afternoon folks, I've done a search and can't seem to find any similar problem to this one - When I have no lights on and press the brake pedal, the side lights, front and rear come on. When I put the side or headlights on, the brake lights are permanently illuminated. I been through all...

    Something more sinister afoot?

Evening all. I've noticed over the last week that the digital time clock keeps changing time, this morning again, it read OK, when I went out this afternoon it was 6 hours fast the later on, it had lost about 15 hours. The battery on the car was changed about a month ago and no other battery...

    Spotlight Wiring Help

You can use the existing side light cabling to power up the LED 'Angle eyes' as LEDs are very power power consumption so won't overload the loom. Why don't you take a live from your reversing lights as the trigger for the relay for your reversing spotlights? That way you don't need another...
