I'm looking at a set of 205/16's to go on my 110 county. Do you think they will look too small?

Welcome. I'm no expert but what sort of tyres have you got on her? I put chunky off roads on my 110 last time and it was like steering a boat, compared with the rangemasters that were on previously. If not the tyres have the trackrods etc looked at. They shouldn't be that bad to drive. Atb

Had some good news today, it sounds like a stud had sheered on the rocker shaft and a cap had blown, so hopefully not as bad as first thought!

Thanks for that. I haven't checked the oil on the stick, but there was no warning at all. No oil light or smell. She still runs and I managed to limp to my mates place about a mile away, no sign of any oil leaks before either.

Just had a service, brakes, Mot stuff, and the head gasket done on my defender 110 300 Tdi. Out today in the snow popping along over Cefn Bryn, Gower, when out of nowhere a rattle, loss of power and lots of oil over the back of the engine and bulkhead. just spent over £500 on her so hope its not...

Hope it's the thermostat as she only had new head gasket last Jan.

I hadn't used the 1994 110csw for a while so in we all got(Me, Mrs & 3 kids) and off we went. Travelled about 30m and the heater went cold then temp gauge up. No water in engine I thought but it was ok. Then temp went down to norm and heater cold then hot and so on. All answers welcome. Thanks...

My 1994 defender 110 CSW is original at the moment but having put a new rear cross member on her I am toying with having her resprayed, as the strips on the back under the windows are rusty and there is the usual oxide marks on the doors etc. My question is can the metal strips be replaced...

I was driving along today and went to turn a corner and the steering locked. Managed to get off the road, but can only turn the steering wheel half a turn to left and right. Any ideas as to what is wrong? Please.:(:confused:
