200 TDi conversion would be my first port of call... im definitel going to check everything first, no point getting rid when it could be a simple solution, will have to look at it during the day to make sure i check everything mentioned here :D cheers

it has just gone over 140k.... lol dayum dont say that because the engine rebuild is going to be about 1k to get that done if it is that thats needed :(

damm im gunna have to look through the Haynes manual as im a complete novice when it comes to things like this :( but dont want to take it anywhere and pay money when im sure i could do it myself. shame its getting dark now otherwise would have done it now :(

it had a service about 2 weeks ago when i bought it.. which is why its starting to annoy me slightly lol but then its a land rover so its all part of the fun of owning it ;) while im trying to start it i dont touch the throttle pedal until i hear it kicking in then im trying to rev it a little...

its a diesel 2.5TD, thought it might be a battery problem but with that charging it still doesnt like to idle, if i leave it for bit after turning it on it will do the same thing again Cheers

spent today cursing wildly.. went to start up the land rover this morning and all it does is take ages to start up and when it does revs out high for about 5 secs and then throttle completely dies and the thing wont turn on again... im lost as to what it could be?

basically have my 110 Van and was wondering what sort of price would it be going for? know of any websites that will give me a price for a 1987 Model? and if anyone wants to do it on here ill give specs :D Cheers Dave

picked up my new land rover, wire brushed the surface rust to death, now got to get the anti-rust paint on saturday and top it up :D

Ive got a 1987 110 with a TD engine, seems nice to drive, definitely nowhere near as powerful as my mates Td5, still is a land rover and does the job so cant complain :) going to look at the disco intercooler for sure, should be good craic ;) lol

Hi, the names david and have recently bought a 1986 Land Defender 110 2.5TD.. dont judge me on my TD from what ive read :D lol just looking to join up and use the site for general advice, was hoping to look in the engine section and see the possibilities of upgrading my engine to the 200TDi one...

oh ive got a trailer i have use of if i need to, the old man will tow it back to the house with it

say if its taxed but not insured, what should i need to do? or nothing? i just dont want the police seeing it on my driveway and having a wonder :), i know they shouldne but dont wanna risk it now :)

if i was too buy a land rover and not insure it till a month say.. what would i have to do with regards to keeping it on my drive or in my garage? i mean would declaring it SORN have to be done or what would happen if i wasnt to do this? Dave
