Its not been started for 4 months and not moved for 6 !!! Put a battery on , two goes for the glow plugs and she started first time !!! Just a little bit of damp on the rear door seal area and condensation but all was good , apart from slow cental locking and window's .......... Gotta love the...

I have a twin button key fob and I want to change the battery . If I take the battery out will I have to reprogram the fob ?? Plus what battery do I need ?? I think its the battery in the fob as it's not opening the CL and disarming the immobiliser . Cheers Mick

I'm newish to LR Disco ownership , I'm no mechanic but so far have managed to fix and repair everything myself with help from this forum and suppliers ! Parts are relatively inexpensive and second hand parts are plentyful !! I've had mine 4 years now (300tdi 1998) and have slowly but surely done...

I'm replacing all 4 tre ball joints , do I need 2x LH thread and 2x RH thread ?

Disco's been off the road with a tarp over it for the last two weeks because it was leaking in from the rear SR !! I mean it was P155 1NG in !! Someone had all ready done the drain channel fix before me , so could only reseal and refit the sunroof . It was a NIGHTMARE stripping the silicone...

Just found this great HOW TO . Both my sunroofs have started leaking lately ......... looks like a day of a job but easy enough !!!

I'm approx 3 mile from Haydock Racecourse mate . It's confirmed as a total loss , just waiting to see how much they want on "salvage" . If its too much , I'm going for a TD5 near me ;)

Cheers guy's , you basically confirmed what i was thinking . If they let me buy it back cheap , I'll have a go repairing it . If they want too much (taking in account its a cat c/d for resale ) then I'll just let it go ......... Shame as it is/was a cracking Disco 300tdi .

Yeah as stated in the Post , she's ok , not my words but the Professional Opinion of a Doctor who was in A+E this morning . Where we spent 3 hours waiting to see said Doctor ...... Now the WIFE's ok , I'm sorting the Disco ......... so if you cant offer some constructive advice ....... go ****...
