Oh dear :mad: I've adjusted the rod to allow more free play and this has made no difference it still loves holding on to 1st, but it works fine in low range you can pop it into 1st & out again no problem :confused:

I've checked the actuating rod and it's currently adjusted to the max, so this could be applying pussure to the clutchplate all the time yes :( not releasing correctly as you mentioned. So how much thread should be visable on the end of the actuation rod, this will give me a starting point...

Hi that was quick With the engine started,with the red 2wd/4wd lever in the middle neutral position, with the clutch pedal to the foor, Yes first will go in and out easily. listenend to the gears in the box with the clutch pedal down, whilst in first. No noise but with the pedal up the box...

the old one failed leaked all over the drive

All other gears are fine

I've replaced the clutch slave cylinder the other week, but it now it sticking in 1st gear. If I pull or move forward it comes out with a fight ,help :welcome2:

May thanks for the frank and full reply, yes I have been in this position before with a LR90 with a 3.9 Efi and a gas kit. The Links make interesting reading .... so leave the 109 as is just change the engine to the 200di and rebuild the gearbox. Or do you have a suggestion, only looking for...

Has any one put a 109 body onto a de bodied 200Tdi, brought discovery for engine etc. Or use the discovery axles and engine in the 109 what are your thoughts ?
