I've got a P38 4.0 V8 from 1995, the other week i started noticing a smell of petrol when i park up. I have had a good look for a leak but can't see anything. Are there any common leaks or obvious places to start looking?

Ok so what would people recommend for a 4.0 V8? The book says 72amh, currently there's a 70amh one in there but it's of unknown age and is having to be charged once every month. I do short journeys every day only 5 or 6 miles each way to work and back again.
