I just clouted a bollard in Sainsburys and now need either an effective method of straightening out a running board, a straight second hand one (off side) or does anyone make aftermarket ones that are a bit beefier?

If you whack things then what would you expect, you don't need anything too solid, or what will happen is the running board will not bend and not act as a crumple zone, then you will bend what its attached to, and then that will be a lot more costly to fix than the board, there selling sets on ebay (the rubberised ones)

didn't know running boards are crumple zones.... thought they where just a pair of steps. If you want something that is designed to take impact and distribute a load then why not fit a pair of sill rock sliders..

I thought they were just steps too, but they did save the body work. One of those moments where I wished I could have blamed someone else but it was my fault, I just forgot I'd parked that close to it. Bugger.
I'm in the process of making the RR a bit more off road biased so a pair of rock/tree sliders look like a good idea, I really like the look of the rock rover ones but does anyone have any other options? The Rockrover ones look easy enough to replicate if they're not available in the uk.
Also on the list is a safari roof rack, rear quarter protection and beefed up bumpers. I'd also love to find a pair of OEM steel wheels but they seem pretty rare.
