    18 inch P38/Disco 2 wheels

Following the demise of my P38, I have a set of 4 wheels as per the pic below. Tyres are borderline at best! Any interest at £50 for the set? I also have a single 18" Hurricane wheel, with a tyre that is mostly ok, but worn heavily on one edge, might do for a spare? £15 for that one

    1997 P38 2.5DT Manual - £300 - Derbyshire

I'm fed up with having my P38 stuck on the drive, it's a 1997 2.5 DT with the manual box. It's been resprayed black at some point, the bonnet looks awful (looks like someone has gone over it with a brillo pad!) but the rest of the car isn't too bad. It's a bit grubby inside too, but again, not...

P38A P38 Clutch Master Cylinder repair kit

Cheers chaps, guess it'll be a new master cylinder as I can't find a seal kit then (assuming the slave seal kit doesn't sort it. Which it almost certainly won't, as it wasn't leaking, but the seal did look a little dog eared...!)

P38A P38 Clutch Master Cylinder repair kit

Is there such a thing for a 1997 2.5DT? I can find repair kits for the RRC and most other LR models, just not the P38! I've ordered a seal kit for the slave cylinder (although there are no signs of it leaking), but I suspect the master is where my problem lies... Cheers :D

Don't suppose you would consider selling the tyres separately would you?

For Sale 8 Spoke steel wheel & Simex 35x10.50x15 tyre(s)

Very clean 8-spoke white steel wheel - got this with a job load of bits and have no need for it. Can separate the wheel from the tyre if anyone wants one but not the other! Haven't measured the tread depth, but it looks about 6mm in the centre to me, give or take. If anyone wants to know, I'll...

For Sale P38 front disks and pads

I'll take 'em if they are still available? It'll be a week or so until I can collect them as I'm off somewhere (mystery 40th birthday holiday from the missus - no idea where I'm off to!!). Conveniently, my '97 P38 diesel has just started having the symptoms of warped disks, and this'll save a...

    Bit of 3rd gear whine

In other news, it's not specifically related to 3rd gear, it's more of a drivetrain noise, most prevalent between 25 and 35ish mph - I'll give the whole drivetrain a good check over when I get chance - make sure it actually has fluids and the like in it :D

    Bit of 3rd gear whine

Ahh, I've only just bought my P38, I assumed the canine accessory was factory fit too....

    Bit of 3rd gear whine

Cheers chaps, I'll get under it at the weekend and give the fluid levels (and condition!) a check over. Just thought I would ask on the off chance 'they all do that sir' :D I thought that was a factory fitted feature, not to be removed....!?

    Bit of 3rd gear whine

IveI hot a bit of a whine in 3rd gear on my 1997 P38 2.5 DT manual, 166k or so on the clocks. Is this to be expected, or should I be concerned. It's not overly loud, just louder than the other gears. Ta!

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Put some fuel in it too, The first 81.7 miles has netted 23.7mpg (2.5TD manual) on mostly shortish journeys, so I'm pretty happy with that!

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Washed it for the first time since I bought it (in January). Still looks like a turd, think I need to respray it. Must go scout eBay for some cheap paint :D

    Tailgate wiring (again....)

Yep, connector gone and hard-wired in. Used very similar things to those you've shown there (similar crimp connectors with heatshrink tubing - some I had left over from fitting o2 sensors to the Chevy a couple of years ago!) Now everything electrical works, except the rear wiper and I can live...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Fixed my non-working tailgate button (corroded wiring in the door jamb). Finally got rid of the piece of wire that the previous owner had kindly left to open the boot with!

    Tailgate wiring (again....)

Found the problem - traced the wiring and connectors, as shown in Rave (and as per the diagram above, cheers again!). Turned out to be a severely corroded connector block in the front d/s door jamb - just where it enters the main body from the door. Got lucky with it, 3 other connections...

    P38 MPG Display

Cheers @wammers And I'm not that fussed, I'll continue in blissful ignorance! I'm quite frankly amazed at the fact that I put £30 of diesel in and the needle moved a considerable amount. And it's not all gone in the first 80 miles either - it's positively frugal compared to my Chevy!
