Is there such a thing for a 1997 2.5DT? I can find repair kits for the RRC and most other LR models, just not the P38! I've ordered a seal kit for the slave cylinder (although there are no signs of it leaking), but I suspect the master is where my problem lies...

Cheers :D

Don't know of any seal kits but they have to be out there. Just looked at prices for new unit. ANR2967 . Aftermarket £15.00. OEM £40.50. And the usual Land Rover ridiculous genuine abortion price of £200.00.

£200.00.Thats P&P lol

That's just the slave will have a look at master cylinder. Oh my. ANR3894. After market £48.00. OEM £68.40. Genuine Land Rover. Made possibly by the same people who make both the others £124.57. How can you charge less for a master cylinder than you charge for a slave cylinder. Land rover prices are all over the place. I don't know how the parts lads keep their faces straight.

Best rip offs i have seen from Land rover are rear brake pipes, opposing hands ANR4709 and ANR4710. One 09 is about £45.00 and the other 10 is £92.66. For that you get about 12 inches of brake pipe with two tube nuts. Now that really is effing ridiculous. I can make them for a couple of quid each.

I think the longer they don't sell the stuff at ridiculous prices the more it owes them and the more expensive it remains... Shame...

Cheers chaps, guess it'll be a new master cylinder as I can't find a seal kit then (assuming the slave seal kit doesn't sort it. Which it almost certainly won't, as it wasn't leaking, but the seal did look a little dog eared...!)
