Evening all. My 52 td4 has just started to get a vibration from under the car, in between the front seats area. When accelerating hard up hill it realy vibrates almost feels like someone thumping under the car. It reverses when on full lock fine, no braking effect at all. any ideas before it...

Hi, mines the same car and both mine have gone in the last year, lots of black smoke but as has been said loss of power also. I had other troubles with loss of power and white/grey smoke and that in the end turned out to be a boost control solenoid. atvb Paul.

Sorted ! Boost presure solenoid was the bugger ! trouble started a couple of months ago with low power at low speed and then developd into loosing power at 70 . At the end limp mode was cutting in stopping the car doing over 50mph . When I first took it to the garage no faults were showing and...

Please do Alan , ours sounds as though they have the same fault . Although mine has shown as a boost pressure fault and limp home mode keeps cutting in keeping speed down to 40 or 50 mph . This has only just started happening after a couple of months of trouble , does yours do this ? The auto...

Hi Alan , just got in from a great afternoon holding things for mr sparks :o Very thorough and although can't be 100% sure , there is a fault with the boost control solenoid and boost pressure came up as a fault . Clear fault and runs for a short distance and then limp home mode cuts in again ...
