Ive bought the pump off choppertrash. Very helpful guy. Im going to get the garage to fit it as it sounds like it would take me quite a long time to complete. Hopefully should all be fine after that. Cheers again !

Found a fitting guide. Sounds pretty serious. Ill probably just chuck the garage the pump and get them to do it. 2hrs labour for them apparently ? Cheers for all the help and advice !

Yeh. I thought I had built up a good relationship with this garage, been using them for about 4 years. They are Landrover enthusiasts and definately talked the talk about tweaking the fuel pump. But who knows, at the end of the day, they are there to make money ! No way of telling how hard they...

Choppertrash. You have PM. I will call you after I finish work. I presume the pump you have is the throttle cable type as apposed to fly by wire ? Is putting a new pump on within the remit of a reasonably skilled DIY mechanic ?

Garage said it had been tweaked on the diaphram - They put that back to standard. Then they wound down the fuel screw untill there was no power in the engine at all.

The reading that was over was something like 4.5% or something like that ?

Im not sure to be honest. Its the garage doing it. I will ask him. I am tempted to have it back, get some guidance from this forum on how to tune it down and put it in for a re-test. Its obviously in the garages interest to fit a new fuel pump £££s

Tried that. Its turned right down so that its pretty much undrivable and still failed.

Hi. My defender manual just failed its MOT on emissions. Apparently its overfueling. (Goes like sh!t off a shovel though) So I have been told that I need a new 300tdi injector pump. Apparently EBay ones are often not of the best quality, so I thought I would ask you guys for help ?

Just to clarify this..... I have a 90 truck cab. I believe the V5 is blank under the number of seats section. Would I be legally allowed to have a couple of guys sat in the back ? All of the above seems to suggest that its fine but I am not convinced thats everyones opinion ???

I hate to **** on your guys bonfire but I am pretty sure those waffle boards on the link are for a radio controled car. They will only take 5kg each ! Probably not best to direct people towards them. :boxing:
