Does it open if you pull the lock knob up as you pull the handle? If so, probably springs. If not, the mechanism inside the door probably needs adjusting. There's a rod mechanism arrangement with a thread adjustment. Either way, you need to take the door trim off and have a look.

The boot floor saga pops up every couple of months and every time it does, there's always some that say it's not an MOT failure. Someone even said they had repaired there's with marine ply! Every MOT tester that I've spoken to says the boot floor is a definite MOT issue. Mine failed on it...

There is no specific legal requirement to have it checked but it's a good idea to have the whole system checked somewhere with a good reputation that specialise in lpg to check the installation. Some of them can be poor even if they are certificated. Manufacturers recommend annual checks but...

Sounds like static fan seized to me i.e rotating all the time, that's why engine is cold and the whirring sound is the fan turning. Start it from cold then immediately check the fan. If it's turning, it's seized. I replaced mine, 2nd hand £40 and took about 2 minutes to change.

Make sure the HT leads, plugs, rotor arm and dizzy cap are good. Also make sure the engine coolant is up to level.
