i had a 93 200 tdi and swapped her for a vw sharan,i fahookin loved the disco but after head gasket,timing belt new pulley,brakes,door handles,inner hub seals the list goes on.the box was on the way out so i got shut and am now thinkin of gettin another but automatic,it would be a 300 tdi can...

going by youve taken head off sussed a prob wi yer ****ed ons sounds like yer handy wi a spanner and thammer follow yer nose get a good engine lift no rush be carefull and its a good learning curve:)

i think you will find when you take the 6 bolts out of the transfer box selector cover and look at the shaft you will find a grub screw which has come looseor dropped out,mine had dropped out

i found the back door rattle on my 200 tdi was the bronze part above the latch if you look on the door youl see the part that fits onto it when you shut the door if you get wot i mean.check the 2 philips screws that hold the door catch are tight and on mine i knocked the bronze part on the car...

hi there my 200 tdi sits between 3rd and fourth when in neutral and used to slip into gears but now its occasionally stiff especially after a long run when the oil is warm and engageing reverse is a bitch really stiff il keep an eye on this post as someone will give some info

howdo i had same problem if you have the kit with long pins,springs and little split pins theyre crap i replaced mine with the kit that is two large split pins and a ssprung metal saddle problem sorted

i think my clutch could be dragging is one symptom of that say when i put car in first i feel or hear the gears ready to go i think if the car was in the air in gear and clutch down i thinmk the wheels would be turning
