    Replacement fuel tank 1986 90

Haha, yeah, noticed that but generally thought that applied to structurals, not every ferrous based part on the dem thing. Spose it is a landy after all. Don't get me started on the bulkhead.... chassis, outriggers and cross members seem ok though which is a bonus.

Hey Turboman - thought you meant the rubber hoses. Why do you reckon replacing the metal pick up pipes? Arn't they just plain steel tubes? Do they rot inside? Cheers

    Replacement fuel tank 1986 90

Cheers for the suggestion Turboman. Would be an easy decision if I could just take the old one off and see it, or even get underneath and have a look but it's stored miles away. I'm not sure about the lift pump, I just wondered what the second hole was introduced for. Agreed, replacing the...

    Replacement fuel tank 1986 90

Hi folks. 1986 ex MOD 2.5 NA diesel needs a new fuel tank. 1986/1987 seems to be a cut off year from the one hole to two hole tanks, NRC9225 to ESR2242. Various listings on ebay claim different years for each type. Craddocks state the NCR9225 fits up to VIN 24332 which includes mine, but I...

Cheers Litch, I'm not the practical kind, I expect there will be plenty more opportunities to make myself look like a bit of a Wally!

    Optimal Door handles don't fit

Well, I've just spoken to Optimal, they pointed out I need to remove the lock cylinder, fit the handle, then reinsert the cylinder. Might be a bit fiddly to refit the lock cylinder from the inside, but at least I didn't start hacking away at the door panel!

    Optimal Door handles don't fit

Hi folks, Has anyone fitted the aluminium door handles from Optimal? There is a 19mm brass nut on the back of the lock cylinder that is a fraction too big to fit through the oval cut out section of the door panel. The black gasket is the same profile as the cut out section, so demonstrates how...
