The tyres are the same size (numbers on the sidewall) just the front axle is all weather and the rear is winter (I think) .

Thanks alot. Just worried it might mess up the AWD. They are matching on the Axle but not front to back. God knows why someone thought it was a good idea

So the freelander 2 I have purchased has matching fronts and backs. But the backs are offroad tyres and fronts are all weather. God knows why but not in a rush to change them as they all are new ish tyres. But if going to cause a problem will have to? I haven't checked but pretty sure the tyres...

Back end sounds like anyway, is knocking when I break medium to hard. Doesn't do it when accelerating.like someone tapping it with a hammer. Any ideas? Been converted to 2WD as well thanks.

Got an 03 Freelander 1. Clutch needs to be pushed full force to engage. But when I do push hard it engages fine and shifts nicely. Slave cylinder or something else? Has apparently had a new clutch in 2017. Thanks in advance.

Great thanks for your help. 2wd really doesn't bother me, much nicer to drive than my 12 year newer van and tows my trailer well. Far from perfect with window problems ect but still an awesome bit of kit if you don't mind the odd problem here or there

Hi, basically I've just bought an 03 Freelander. Whoever has had it before me has done some modifications, including removing the shaft that makes it 4wd. Do I still need to replace all tyres at the same time like I've been told to. Or can I replace as and when? thanks alot in advance.
